Care is a small friendly private yard situated in the village of Charnock
Richard,
near Chorley, Lancashire.
The location is convenient for motorway connections -
the M6, M61, M65.
Manchester is 30 miles away & Liverpool is about 25 minutes by car.
Local towns include Chorley, Wigan, Leyland, Preston, Bolton & Blackburn.
Charnock Richard is within reach of the superb hacking country of Rivington
& the
West Pennine Moors.
Fishers Farm Livery Stables & Horse Retirement Care is owned & run
by Liz Wingham who has more than 40 years knowledge & experience of
horses.

Each box has its own tack/storage area
16 acres summer grazing - all electric fenced
Winter turnout "play pen"

Care:
You want the best care for your horse when he retires. After all the pleasure
he has given you over the years, nothing but the best will do. We will
ensure his latter years will be relaxed, stress free & peaceful.
- Your
horse can live out from May to October, or if you prefer, he can be
stabled at night

He can share a field or he can have an individual pen if grazing needs
restricting
- Regular Farrier visits & qualified dentistry treatment can be arranged

A strict worming programme for all horses on the yard will be followed

Whatever you prefer - ad lib hay or haylage or daily weighed amounts
can be fed

Special diets can be catered for, e.g. mineral supplements, special
laminitis feeds etc
- Daily grooming & regular rug changes

Annual vaccinations

Light exercise, including in-hand walking can be arranged
- We can regularly email or phone owners with updates, photos & videos
of your horse
